Admission Policy 2025-26
To offer free education to children from disadvantaged background irrespective of social, religious or any other consideration as per CBSE guidelines and norms. Preference will be given to girl child as appropriate, while maintaining a healthy gender balance.

Eligibility Criteria
Age
As per New Education Policy 2020, the following age criteria will be applicable.

Pravesh Vatika | Born on / between 1st April 2020 and 1st April, 2021 |
For lateral admissions from Upvan onwards, the student must meet the age criteria as per the New Education Policy 2020 guidelines and currently be studying in the class previous to the one for which admission is sought.
Eligibility of Parent / Guardian:
Annual Income from all sources of both parents should be less than five lakhs per annum. It should be supported by a valid proof - BPL Card / Antyodaya Card and Self Declaration Affidavit duly signed by the District Magistrate along with Income tax return of the last financial year.
Selection Criteria: The specified age criteria will be strictly followed.
Preference to girl child:
Preference will be given to girl students for admission to the above classes.
Complete Applications:
Only fully completed admission forms, with all relevant documents (mentioned above) will be considered.
Sibling Preference:
Children with siblings already studying at Horizon School Of Excellence will be given preference and exempted from the lottery process.
Single Parent Preference:
Children of single parents (widower, divorcee, or separated) will be given preference and exempted from the lottery process.
Staff Preference:
Children of staff members will be given preference and exempted from the lottery process.
Lottery System for Admissions:
In the event that the number of applications exceeds the available slots, admissions will be conducted through a lottery system for Ankur and Pravesh Vatika
- There will be two separate boxes — one for boys and the other for girls.
- To ensure gender balance, one slip at a time will be drawn alternately from each box.
- The lottery will take place in the presence of parents. To ensure transparency randomly selected parents will pick slips
- After the available slots are filled, an additional 5 names each, of girls and boys will be drawn for the waiting list.
Free Education:
- The school will not charge any fees (whatsoever) from the students. The following will be provided free of cost: education, uniform (as per policy), books and stationery (as per policy), and midday refreshment.
- The above provisions will be given to students for all academic sessions, subject to their maintaining 70%attendance( minimum).
- The name of students will be struck off rolls if they remain absent from school for fifteen consecutive days, without informing the school. This is applicable even in case of emergencies.
- If a students drops out of school in mid -session, he / she will not be re-admitted by the school. Re-admission will be considered for special cases only by the School Advisory Council.
- On-roll teachers and staff of Horizon School Of Excellence, as per criteria mentioned above can avail the facility of free education for their children, who have to be bonafide students of Horizon School Of Excellence.
- The school does not provide or arrange transport facilities for students. Parents are responsible for ensuring a safe commute to and from the school.
- If at any stage, the information provided to the school by the parent is found to be incorrect, the name of the child will be struck off the rolls.
